Dear New Spider-Man Movie
I am going to stab you in the neck with a screwdriver.
Gah, and you know what? As total idiot I will see it, but I know I will hate it and that’s what’s wrong with me.
Sigh with great power comes great responsibility.
Off the bat, things that are pissing me off about this movie.
1. No one gives a fuck about Peters parents. In fact, revealing anything about them makes Aunt May and Uncle Ben in to lesser characters which is huge a issue in the mythos of Spider-Man.
2. It seems to have almost the same exact tone as Raimi films. I mean if you’re going to do something like this, it should be completely different. Again, I could be totally wrong on this though.
3. I don’t buy Mr. Garfield as Peter Parker. At all. I will say that I appreciate that he is making jokes and what not though which is my biggest issue with the Raimi films.
Who knows, I could be wrong and this could be amazing. Zeus knows I’ll be there opening night to see it. I just am not expecting to be blown away.
